To view the 3D interactive bat, you require the JAVA plugin to be installed. If you simply see a square with a red cross in it download the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine program here and install it.
Do this by clicking this this red ink and select RUN from the popup window.

It does request your computer be restarted however this isn't necessary to view the 3D bat.
